Can you leave just one man standing?

Simple to learn, impossible to master, addictively fun - Solitaire Chess by ThinkFun is a new logic puzzle based on the rules of Chess.
For chess newbies and experts alike, Solitaire Chess can be played quickly – every move must be a capture – and early challenges may seem easy, but soon you’ll find yourself in deeper waters, pushing your mind and thinking hard about your moves to try and solve the game.

*****************************************

HOW TO PLAY: Each challenge begins with a selection of chess pieces on a 4x4 game board. Your goal is to capture the pieces one by one until there’s only one left.

Every move must be a capture, so plan your moves wisely or you risk leaving pieces stranded!

Dont worry if youre not familiar with Chess. Hold any piece in the air to see its name and all possible moves. Within a few challenges youll be familiar with every piece – making this a great way to get familiar with the pieces and the movement rules of Chess.

Solitaire Chess includes UNDO and RESET buttons, so dont be nervous about experimenting in the game.

There’s even a HINT button, for when you get in a real bind.

*****************************************

GAME FEATURES:

- 400 Challenges, 100 at each difficulty level
- Four difficulty levels: EASY, MEDIUM, HARD, EXPERT

- Challenge Scorecard to keep track of your wins
- Save multiple games in progress

- Hint/Reset/Undo buttons to help you figure out each puzzle

- Solve button to see how it’s done

- Quick and easy Tutorial

Pros and cons of Solitaire Chess by ThinkFun app for iPhone and iPad

Solitaire Chess by ThinkFun app good for

I like to play chess and thought this would be pretty stupid to be honest... But this is a great puzzler! Easy at first and gets harder and more challenging as I try to defeat the last 100 levels! Lots of replayability too! Even my wife keeps asking to borrow my iPod so she can play it...Simple to learn but not so easy as it may look!
I tried the free version first, and I liked it so much I bought the full version. :)
Simple and challenging, it keeps me company every morning in the skytrain
Very creative idea. Well done. Very challenging and enjoyable.
Puzzles will challenge your mind and give you a whole new way to look at chess
Wonderful game. Much better than buying the actual game in the store - no pieces to lose/setup and puzzles are fast. My blitz rating is between 1500 and 1800 (depending if the kids are home!) and I adore this game. It is lots of fun, and well worth the money. The expert puzzles are surprisingly challenging, and you will raise a brow at some of them. I hope they release and additional pack of puzzles which I will gladly buy. Well done ThinkFun, Ive stopped buying your games in the store (kids are older) and now I buy then online for ME!

Some bad moments

Excellent logic puzzle, so fun its addicting. I finished all of the 100 expert puzzles in less than a month, playing every day. I wish they would update it with more puzzles!!!
Excellent exercise routine for the brain. You will lose brain fat in 30 days. Guaranteed
Love it. Everyone is unique. For extra challenge, memorize the positions, close your eyes and solve. You will hear your brain churn.
Love this game! Hundreds of challenging puzzles. I play it during my train commute to wake up my sleepy brain and on the way home o block out the work day. It shows if youve used a hint to solve a puzzle and when I finish a level I go back and re-solve those few puzzles without using hints to make myself feel smart. :)
Great app, just cant turn off sound. Winning trumpet becomes annoying!
It has helped me learn the game and made it fun. Great app. If you know chess or want to learn. It iis a must have.
